Red Baraat Festival of Colors 2015
Red Baraat's Festival of Colors celebrates the Hindu holiday of Holi, which is marked by public gatherings of families and strangers sharing songs, dance, and the exchange of ‘colors’ –colorful dry powder or colored water playfully thrown amongst the crowds of revelers.
The 2015 festival will be held:

3/6 - Cambridge, MA - The Sinclair
3/8 - Brooklyn, NY - Brooklyn Bowl
The 2015 festival will include a screening of Radhe Radhe: Rites of Holi, the film by award-winning filmmaker Prashant Bhargava with score by Grammy-nominated composer Vijay Iyer. Rupa and the April Fishes, a San Francisco-based global alternative band who are known for their blend of sounds ranging from roots to neoclassical, and the Brooklyn Raga Massive, a collective that serves to bring awareness to the rising population of independent musicians playing in the melodic framework of Indian Raga in Brooklyn.The first Red Baraat Festival of Colors happened in 2012 at a sold out Le Poisson Rouge in New York City. Since then, the annual event has expanded to Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Boston and New Orleans. Each year, bandleader and dhol player, Sunny Jain, curates a night of music and art highlighting the South Asian Diaspora in America in a range of styles and mediums. The diversity of the line ups have included DJ Rekha, Falu and her live band (Deep Singh, Dave Sharma, Mark Tewarson, Gaurav Shah), Mandeep Sethi, Vandana Jain, Parijat Desai Dance Company, Deepa Jain's Bellydancers and Ushka.
